Finals" events
1999 - I.A.S.C.A. Invitational World Finals
- Greenville, South Carolina, U.S.A.

Racing Invitational World Finals - Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.A.
They were the first ever to be invited & represent Australia on a global
level, and the only one's still to date !
Building their car at the AutoSound 2000 facilities in Burlington, North
Carolina in 6.5 days, then driving 12 hours to their first finals - dB Drag
Racing
Thanks to Richard Clark, David Navone, Brian, Wanda & Gene - AutoSound 2000
We came 8th at both World Finals events.
Being placed in Pro, Team Xplosive Australia were up against very heavy hitters, yet
theirs was a
Street Class car !
From
The Beginning
Michael
began in electronics at 7 years of age, the using his first soldering iron
at 9. Since then has progressed his knowledge as he has forwarded.
At 14 years of age he attended work experience at a T.V./Video repair place
near his home in Perth W.A., this led on to be 2 years part-time employment.
Michael completed Year 12, excelling in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
At a statewide high-school competition he had taken out first place in Metal
Construction with a go-kart he designed & built from scratch during Years 11
& 12.
Michael was serious about all of this and he had already setup a workshop at
home to research many facets of electronics & acoustic propagation.
He commenced an Associate Diploma in Electronic Engineering, which within
his time of study he began part-time work in Car Audio, where after
finishing full-time studies, he began an apprenticeship in Electronic
Servicing.
During this time he endured building sound systems in his cars & audio
systems for home use.
Completing his apprenticeship at the end of 1998, he left there to compete
on the east coast of Australia with his Mazda, resetting his national record
to 157.4dB.
Then returning to Perth, Michael officially extended his passion to
full-time business - Sounds Xplosive Audio.
Since then Michael has constantly advanced in knowledge & application.
He has extended the Australian Sound Pressure Level Records numerously,
seeing this as a practical application of extreme Physics.
Michael's
focus on honing the niche he's created is beyond a full-time love.
His passion has extended to an exclusive service, creating Audiophile Sound
Quality in Exotic SuperCars.
Now Core Enthusiasts & the Owner's of these Elite
SuperCars can experience
the ultimate auditory joy.
